Here’s a reflection photo shot in a mirror.
Mirrors are very handy for catching people in their natural state. Moment photos are my favorite to record and to look at. It’s that photojournalist part of me.
In this shot, the mother (right) and her ladybug daughter are celebrating the ladybug’s entire bean-bag-to-can-pyramid knock down at a harvest carnival. The sumo wrestler in his big, blow-up costume cracks me up. And that’s my little cowboy peering around waiting for his turn. It looks like two girls near the mirror are picking up and restacking the cans, but that’s an illusion. It’s just one can stacker.
Mirrors are also a way to get a shot of yourself with camera in hand – on purpose, or by accident, as was the case with me, the photography nerd to the left. If this was a shot I was sending to a newspaper, I’d crop myself out, of course.
