Tuesday I was in Silverton, Oregon and these clematis seed pods and fluff were blowing in the wind.
Clematis vines are growing all over beside the creek along Water Street. I’ll have to check them out this spring and summer to see the blooms. I’ll bet it’s beautiful.
In the meantime, the vines of seed pods are pretty interesting – like something out of a Dr. Suess book!
That is, they’re interesting and fun to look at when they are dry. They were fluffy and blowing about when I took this photo. But when I walked past the same spot later that day after a rain shower, the fluff was as bedraggled as a wet cat.
Happy Friday!
